Timothy Nicholson

Horn
Adopted by Maestro! Touring and in memory of Joan McLarnon

Horn player Tim Nicholson joined the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in 2005. Originally from Edinburgh, he started playing the horn in free lessons in high school, going on to study at the Royal Northern College of Music.

After graduating, Tim freelanced with orchestras and ensembles around the North West, before eventually joining the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. During his time here, highlights have included tours abroad (particularly in Spain) and our annual Schools’ Concerts.

Fun Fact:
Away from music, Tim enjoys playing computer games, and he can also often be found beachcombing up in Orkney.
