In Harmony Liverpool Youth Hubs

In Harmony Liverpool Youth Hubs are a creative space where young people (aged 10-18) from Everton and Anfield will:

  • Learn about and experiment with different styles of music
  • Build friendships with other like-minded young musicians from across North Liverpool
  • Develop new skills in a relaxed, social environment
  • Explore other aspects of the music industry through exciting workshops
  • Perform music alongside friends in a range of different venues
  • Take part in events at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall
  • Be supported by a team of professional musicians and industry experts every step of the way
  • Challenge themselves to become the best musician they can be

During term time, Youth Hubs meet weekly at North Liverpool Academy and Liverpool Lighthouse. Sessions give Youth Hub Members the chance to relax and socialise with friends, practice their instrument or do homework, find and join music ensembles which are the right fit for them, create new music, take part in special workshops about jobs in the music industry and achieve accreditation through the Arts Award.

Who are Youth Hubs for?

Youth Hubs are for young people aged 10-18 who live or go to school in Everton and Anfield.

Our Youth Hub Members love music. Whether they’re learning about music or creating new sounds with other young people, they come to our sessions with a willingness to try new things and to support others in becoming the best musician they can be.

Members play, or are interested in learning, orchestral instruments including:

  • Strings: Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass
  • Wind: Oboe, Flute, Clarinet, Bassoon
  • Brass: Cornet, Trumpet, Baritone, Euphonium, Trombone, Tuba
  • Percussion: Orchestral Percussion, Drum Kit

Anyone who sings, plays piano, guitar or bass guitar, makes electronic music or DJs, or plays any other instrument is welcome to join. Before you get started though, we’d like to talk to you to make sure we have all the support and resources you’d need.

Remember, no prior experience of playing any instrument is required! Just tell us what you’d like to try and we’ll make sure you have an instrument and support from one of our professional musicians.
