Young people are at the heart of everything we do at Liverpool Philharmonic
'Love Music: From the First Note' is our campaign in support of In Harmony Liverpool, Schools' Concerts, and Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company.
We know first-hand that our activities help to build confidence, pride, and skills so that children and young people can live happier, healthier lives.
With your support, we can expand our reach so that more children, families, and schools can take part, regardless of their financial situation.

As so many of our audience can attest, the thrill of hearing a live orchestra for the first time is often the spark that ignites a lifelong love of music.
Each year over 18,000 children and their teachers attend our annual Schools' Concerts.
Your support enables us to offer heavily subsidised tickets for schools and home educators.
In Harmony Liverpool uses orchestral music-making to improve the life chances of children.
Every week, 1,750 young people aged 0-18 across Everton and Anfield learn a musical instrument, sing, and compose, free of charge.
In Harmony is targeted at children with the greatest need and the fewest resources – over 40% of In Harmony children are classed as living in poverty.
In 2023 we introduced additional activities for teenagers, continuing their musical education after school and helping them in their journey to higher education and employment.
With your support, In Harmony will increase its reach to 2,000 children by 2026.
"I have been playing the double bass for 5 years and it has helped me through stressful and emotional times' Grace, In Harmony participant.
Nurturing talent is a responsibility that we take very seriously. Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company is made up of 10 ensembles and choirs - including Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Orchestra, Youth Choir, Session Orchestra, and Brass Band - to ensure young musicians can experience playing music from every genre.
450 young musicians take part each week, from beginners to advanced musicians. Youth Company also offers music industry career events, work experience, and training for young composers.
With your help we will offer 100% bursaries to everyone who needs assistance, enabling young people from all backgrounds to achieve their musical potential.
'As a pop musicians, it's amazing that I get to play alongside orchestral instruments, especially whilst performing on such an iconic stage so early into my career - it's an incredibly rare and exciting opportunity!' Session Orchestra musician.
