Principal Trombone
Adopted by Peter & Gwen Goodhew, and Mr Eric Jennings
Simon comes from Oldham and began playing the trombone at the age of 7 in Brass Bands. He studied at Chetham's School of Music and the Royal Northern College of Music.
Freelancing in and around the North West before taking his first job in the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. Simon joined the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra as Principal Bass Trombone in 2002.
Simon enjoys being a part of the delivery of the Philharmonic's extensive learning program helping children at grass roots.
Fun Fact:
When time allows, Simon takes pleasure in the great outdoors hill walking in the Lake District with his family and German Shepherd.
