Ian joined the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in 2011. Prior to this he had studied at the Royal Northern College of Music before freelancing for a couple of years. 

He currently teaches viola at the University of Liverpool, having previously taught at Liverpool Hope University. Additionally, Ian is a freelance sound engineer and producer. 

Fun Fact: 
Outside of music, Ian enjoys messing around with technology and helping out at his local church.
