Emily Mowbray

First Violin
Adopted by In House Lawyer (Services) Limited

Emily’s love of music began aged 4 when she started the violin through the Suzuki Method. She soon discovered the joy of making music with others, spending her childhood and teenage years as a member of the National Children’s Orchestra, National Youth Orchestra and Milton Keynes Music Service, before commencing her studies at the Royal Northern College of Music under the tutelage of Alexander Sitkovetsky

After completing her Postgraduate degree at Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she studied with Stephanie Gonley, Emily freelanced with orchestras around the country before being awarded her position with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra in 2018.

As a keen chamber musician, Emily enjoys making music with friends and colleagues in different formations, ranging from quartet recitals to working with participants of Merseycare’s ‘Life Rooms’. She regularly hosts ‘Chamber Music and Wine Nights’ with friends from the Orchestra with perhaps more of an emphasis on the latter…

Away from the violin, Emily is happiest when armed with her camera and spends much of her free time chasing sunrises, landscapes and wildlife (yes, that includes her colleagues). She’s often roped in to capture weddings, headshots and action shots for friends.

Fun fact: With a knack for attracting mild chaos, Emily, and her skirt, had to be freed from an escalator by her entire section with a pair of scissors before a game of Crazy Golf.
