'Vasily Petrenko is no ordinary conductor.'
Financial Times

In 2006, Vasily Petrenko arrived in Liverpool for his first concert as Principal Conductor with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

15 years later, Vasily Petrenko, one of the longest-serving conductors in the history of Liverpool Philharmonic, will end his tenure as Chief Conductor with these two very special concerts at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

The concert will be available to watch from 7pm on Tuesday 20 July, preceded by a live preconcert talk on Zoom at 7pm with BBC Radio 3 broadcaster and author Stephen Johnson, and a post-concert Zoom q and a session with musicians and staff in a sort of ‘post-match analysis’, where you can ask questions and participate. Further information on how to join the Zoom will be sent to you after you purchase a ticket.

Prices are as follows:

  • Individual - £10
  • Supporter -  £15
  • Superstar (what you would normally pay to attend a live concert) - £32

You can watch the video at any point without the Zoom element. Please note on demand videos will only be available for 30 days from the date of initial broadcast.
