Don Giovanni

Not many comic operas begin with a cold-blooded murder and end with the hero’s consignment to hell–but Don Giovanni swings restlessly between comedy and tragedy to startling effect. Mozart’s irresistible music follows suit, its famous highlights ranging from Don Giovanni’s sparkling Champagne aria to the seductive duet ‘Là ci darem la mano’. Jonathan Kent’s sleek and suspenseful production captures this duality brilliantly.

Enjoy opera at its finest in Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, on the unique Walturdaw screen. All our screenings will include a glass of fizz on arrival and a one hour interval, where you can enjoy a picnic, for the full Glyndebourne experience.
