Sixties Gold

Please be aware this event has been rescheduled to Sunday 10 October 2021. The event was due to take place on Saturday 14 November 2020.

Please note that Steve Ellis and The Merseybeats are no longer able to appear in this concert. We're delighted to announce that The Merseybeats will be replaced by The Swinging Blue Jeans.Featuring Herman's Hermits, The Tremeloes, Marmalade, The Swinging Blue Jeans, PJ Proby, Mamas and Papas UK, Dave Berry and Gerry’s Pacemakers.

The Tremeloes have sold in excess of 100 million records worldwide with their huge number one hits 'Silence Is Golden', 'Suddenly You Love Me', 'Even The Band Times Are Good', '(Call Me) Number One' and more.

Hermans Hermits, now celebrating their 55th anniversary, were one of the biggest selling bands of the 60’s. From their beginning in Manchester in 1964, the band has chalked up 23 hit singles - including 'There’s a Kind of Hush', 'Silhouettes', 'Can’t You Hear My Heart Beat', 'Wonderful World' and 'A Must to Avoid' and many more.

The Marmalade were the champions of the Scottish Beat in 1968, adding another dimension to the sound of the classic pop song, with great harmonies and hits such as 'Lovin’ Things', 'Reflections of My Life', 'Falling Apart at The Seams', 'Cousin Norman', and their Lennon & McCartney composed No. 1 hit 'Ob-la-Di Ob-la-Da'.

60’s Super Star Icon, PJ Proby's smash hits include 'Somewhere', 'Maria', 'Together' and of course, the biggest hit that started everything for him in the UK, 'Hold Me'. 

The individual style and voice of Dave Berry with his chart-topping hits 'The Crying Game', 'Little Things', 'Memphis Tennessee' and 'Mama'.

Joining the line-up are top musicians Gerry’s Pacemakers who will perform some of Gerry Marsden’s massive hits.

Mamas and Papas UK, performing the wonderful hit songs; including 'Monday Monday', 'California Dreamin', and 'Dedicated to the One I Love'.
