Ian Siegal

Plus support Dawson Smith

Over 25 years of touring, multiple award-winner Ian Siegal’s mission statement has barely changed: songs that are real, shows that resonate, and vocals served raw.

Considered by many to be one of the most compelling British blues artists today, in the past ten years alone Ian has taken his music to 50 countries, and has been awarded two UK Blues Awards, 10 British Blues Awards, four European Blues Awards, two MOJO ‘Blues Albums of the Year’ awards, and not to mention three US Blues Music Awards nominations - an unprecedented nod for a non-American.

They say you can’t sing the blues until you’ve lived the life, and when Ian Siegal steps up to the mic, you can hear the slings and arrows. His forte is playing to an audience, taking command of the stage in a way very few artists can match - passion, humour, incendiary slide guitar, and a soul-infused voice big enough to fell trees!

Opening the show is Dawson Smith & The Dissenters frontman. Currently promoting his latest studio album Been So Long, Dawson Smith is best known for his powerhouse vocals and distinctive songwriting. Originally from South Wales, Dawson has been based in Leicester for over thirty years and is a stalwart of the British blues and roots circuit. Regularly clocking over 100 shows a year, Dawson is a captivating performer with five acclaimed studio albums to draw from for a live set that always delivers. This show will be a rare chance to see Dawson perform his songs in an acoustic format.
