John Cleese on Fawlty Towers Live

General sale: Friday 23 May 10am

14+
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.

“Ah, happiness, yes, I remember that.”

And for over 50 years, Fawlty Towers has delivered just that – to millions. Now, to mark the sitcom’s golden anniversary and the release of his new book Fawlty Towers: A 50th Anniversary Celebration, John Cleese will return to the scene of the crime: Britain’s most chaotic hotel.

John will revisit 25 of the show’s most iconic moments to serve up tales fresher than a Waldorf salad. From duck surprise, the mini that wouldn’t start, and the surprise in the cheese biscuits – John will reveal what really went on behind the mayhem.

You will hear stories never told before, and the inner workings of one of the most carefully constructed comedies ever made (yes, those scripts really were double the length). With reflections on casting, timing, and the beautiful chaos of production, John will offer a sharp and hilarious window into how Fawlty Towers came to life.

Guided by a guest host and laced with audience interaction and questions, this is a celebration of the show's enduring brilliance – and of the madness, precision and occasional Moose that helped make it happen.

Whether you “asked for a room with a view” or just “care for a rat”, don’t miss this once-in-a-lifetime event. We’ve been waiting for it for about as long as Hadrian.

Each ticket includes a copy of John Cleese’s new book Fawlty Towers: A 50th Anniversary Celebration.
