In celebration of its year as Borough of Culture for the Liverpool City Region, Wirral is proud to present a very special evening of popular classics, show tunes and exciting film standards with something for all the family.
Showcasing music from composers as diverse as Bizet, Lennon and McCartney, John Williams, Holst and others, including popular classics and songs such as ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, ‘Ferry ‘cross the Mersey’, and music from films such as Star Wars and E.T, the Orchestra will be joined by Liverpool-born international mezzo-soprano, Jennifer Johnston under the baton of conductor, Richard Balcombe. Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra’s only outdoor performance this year as a full Orchestra will be set against the majestic backdrop of Birkenhead Park – the first publicly funded park in the country.

Please be aware that there's no seating at this event, but audience members are welcome to bring their own seats and picnic blankets.

Tickets
Standard ticket - £15 (£20 on the day)
Concession - £12.50
Two children under 16 can attend for free per adult/concession ticket purchased. Children will still require tickets, and these must be booked at time of purchase. Additional under 16 tickets are £5.
