Sharon Shannon is an Irish musician from the village of Ruan in County Clare. She is best known for her work with the button accordion and her violin fiddle technique, but has also played the tin whistle.

While crossing–over into many genres of music, Sharon’s style is uniquely traditional Irish and she has been hugely influential in promoting Irish music. After announcing her latest studio album, The Reckoning, she's pulling out all the stops with her most innovative and original album to date.
