Sam Lee is an acclaimed singer, folksong collector, conservationist and founder of The Nest Collective, who have injected life back into the folk trad and world acoustic scenes.
Trained in fine art but with a lifelong passion for wilderness studies and nature connection, Sam is a folk music specialist dedicated to collecting, sharing and interpreting ancient oral music from Britain and Ireland.
Sam’s first release, Ground Of Its Own, was short-listed for a Mercury Music Prize, his track 'Lovely Molly' won a BBC Radio 2 Folk Award and he won ‘Artist of the Year’ at the 2016 Songlines Magazine Awards. He has also contributed songs to multiple film projects, including Guy Ritchie’s King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.

Tickets for this event include a £1 venue restoration levy, included in the ticket price. This fee supports building investment at the Grade II-listed Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.
