Robin Nolan Trio: For The Love of George

Robin Nolan returns for a night of virtuosic gypsy jazz guitar, songs from his latest album For The Love Of George and brand-new reworks of his classic tracks.

Robin Nolan is one of the most respected artists in gypsy jazz since Django Reinhardt. He’s graced the stages of the Montreux and North Sea Jazz festivals, and the Royal Albert Hall, and he’s collected many famous fans over the years including George Harrison, Hank Marvin and Bill Wyman.

Robin’s critically acclaimed release For The Love Of George is a collection of George Harrison and Beatles songs reinterpreted in his own unique way – and comes as Robin has signed a major deal with George Harrison’s label Dark Horse Records. Recorded using George’s own guitars, the album also features a newly-released Nolan/Harrison cowrite – a “beautiful and carefully crafted tribute that succeeds on all levels" (Guitarist Magazine).

“In these days of cacophony it’s great to hear some proper music!”George Harrison

“Robin is an exceptional improviser… If you like gypsy jazz and you haven’t heard The Robin Nolan Trio, you should.” – Vintage Guitar
