Heidi Talbot & Boo Hewerdine

Heidi Talbot is celebrating 20 years as a professional singer with the release of a compilation album featuring tracks from her five solo albums.

Long-time collaborator, master songwriter and singer Boo Hewerdine will join Heidi in this special celebratory concert. Boo and Heidi have recorded and toured together extensively going all the way back to Heidi’s first solo tour in 2005.

Born in Ireland, Heidi became a folk star in the USA as a member of the Irish American band Cherish the Ladies, where she developed a style that switches easily, but subtlety, between Celtic and Americana. From her gossamer voice, to the delicate re-working of traditional and contemporary material that has earned her rave reviews for her records and live performances - the girl from Co. Kildare slips effortlessly between musical worlds but retains a personal modesty rooted in traditional folk.

Over the past ten years Heidi has performed all over North and South America, the UK and Europe, Australia and New Zealand in the finest concert halls and international festivals. Heidi has been nominated for 'Folk Singer of the Year' and 'Best Traditional Song' by BBC Radio 2, 'Best Live Act' by the Scottish Traditional Music Awards and 'Best Female Vocalist' at The Irish Music Awards.
