The internationally acclaimed BBC Big Band and conductor Barry Forgie, are joined by music legend Georgie Fame for this very special concert.
With more than twenty albums and fourteen hit singles, Georgie Fame enjoys legendary status on the international music scene. With his unmistakeable voice and much-loved blend of jazz and rhythm & blues, he makes his return to Liverpool Philharmonic Hall with one of the world’s leading and most versatile jazz orchestras - a prospect to savour.
Through a diverse repertoire arranged and curated by the BBC Big Band and Georgie, the concert features classic big band numbers from the orchestra, alongside a selection of numbers from Georgie’s own library of Big Band music - including his hits, ‘Yeh Yeh’, ‘Getaway’ and ‘The Ballad of Bonnie & Clyde’.
