This event will present the debut of a new body of original music created collaboratively by Liverpool-based musicians Jack Lewis and Andrew Barney, bringing jazz improvisation and contemporary classical composition into conversation through an intimate performance.
The performance is planned to take place in the Music Room at the Liverpool Philharmonic during Liverpool Music Month 2026, showcasing new collaborative work developed within Liverpool’s creative community.
Jack Lewis is a guitarist, musical director and composer whose work is rooted in jazz and contemporary live performance. Andrew Barney is an award-winning composer, pianist and multilingual artist whose work bridges cultures, languages and musical traditions.
Together, the project combines their distinct musical backgrounds to create an original programme of music shaped by their experience of improvisation, contemporary composition and independent music programming.
