Roscoe Lecture: In conversation with Sir Phil Redmond

Liverpool John Moores University, in partnership with the Liverpool Philharmonic, presents ‘Phil at the Phil’ a special Roscoe Lecture with Professor Sir Phil Redmond.

LJMU has been running the highly acclaimed Roscoe Lectures since 1997 and the series has become the largest free public lecture programme in the UK.  With speakers ranging from heads of state to politicians and civil rights campaigners the Roscoe lectures have presented a platform for passionate, engaged and lively debate.

Professor Sir Phil Redmond is one of the UK’s most well-known and respected television producers and screenwriters perhaps best known for creating three of the UK's longest running drama programmes, Grange Hill, Brookside and Hollyoaks.  He is passionate about Liverpool and has played a significant role in the ongoing successful development of the city. Building on his contributions to cultural development across the UK, he was appointed by the government to be Chair of both UK City of Culture and Town of Culture panels.
