Wirral Symphony Orchestra and Jonathan Small make their return to the Philharmonic Hall, welcoming Ensemble Vocal Renaissance choir from Le Havre for what will be our fifth collaborative programme of great choral music.  And what could be greater, in scale and impact, than Verdi’s massive Requiem?  The Day of Judgement is portrayed in all its fire and thunder, the choir sings its praises to the Lord God of Hosts, and against this is the light and peace of the Lux Aeterna and Agnus Dei.  The orchestra and EVR choir are joined by St Peter’s Singers from Heswall, plus two soloists each from the UK and France, all performing together in this musical tour de force.
