
For the 25th year, St. Mary’s College, Crosby is mounting another showcase of the musical talents of its pupils on Friday 28th March at 7.30pm.
The concert will feature over 250 musicians from a range of musical ensembles from the College and its Preparatory School, The Mount. They will include the College’s award-winning Symphony Orchestra, Symphonic Wind Band, Stage Band, Chamber Choir and Preparatory School Concert Choir as well as a number of gifted soloists.
The concert will take the audience on a musical journey from Bach to Bernstein as the talented young musicians perform pieces from a wide range of styles and genres.
Highlights will include Tchaikovsky’s Romeo and Juliet and excerpts from the Nutcracker suite, the Thunder and Lightning Polka by Strauss, and from the stage and screen, extracts from West Side Story and Les Miserables.
The evening will be conducted by Director of Music Andrew Byers and assisted by Colin Johnston.
Tickets for this event include a £1 venue restoration levy, included in the ticket price. This fee supports building investment at the Grade II-listed Liverpool Philharmonic Hall
