John Harle: saxophone
Steve Lodder: piano
John Harle has done more than any other saxophonist to increase the repertoire for the saxophone. On the occasion of his 60th birthday, and coinciding with publication by Faber of his book THE SAXOPHONE, John asked his composer friends…Gavin Bryers, Carl Davis, Michael Nyman, Graham Fitkin, Sally Beamish and more…to write short pieces for him: the outcome will be an evening of music representing the worlds of classical, jazz, rock and new music.
