Schools' Concerts Offer

Key Stage 2 & 3 Schools' Concerts, “Citizens of Earth: Music for what Matters”

Welcome to Citizens of Earth: Music for what Matters concert page. We hope that your child(ren) enjoyed the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra’s performance, presented by Alasdair Malloy and conducted by Michael Seal.

On this page you’ll find some more information about the concert that you might like to share with your child(ren). You will also find recording links to some of the pieces performed in the concert, as well as information on upcoming family-friendly concerts. Finally, there’s some information about how your child(ren) can continue their music-making with Liverpool Philharmonic.

Upcoming Family Friendly Concert

If you enjoyed hearing a live symphony orchestra in one of the country’s most iconic concert halls, why not come along to one of our upcoming family friendly concerts.

Relive the magic of your favourite wizard in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban™ in Concert. Based on the third instalment of the classic saga, the thrilling tale is accompanied by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and Kantos Chamber Choir as Harry soars across the big screen. From the moment Harry uses the Marauder’s Map to when the Patronus Charm bursts from his wand, you’ll be transported back into the world you love. 

This performance will include an interval.

Keep making music with Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Ensembles and Choirs 

Become a member of our Youth Company and take part in amazing musical experiences with our wonderful ensembles, groups and special projects. Membership includes free access to Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company masterclasses, workshops and careers events.  

Our youngest choir, Melody Makers,isfor children in school years 3 and 4, aged 7+. For children who are a little older - years  5-7, aged 9-12 - our Liverpool Philharmonic Children’s Choir, isan excellent introduction to choral singing. Members will have the chance to work alongside world-class professional musicians, while developing lifelong friendships with like-minded creatives.

AmaSing

This year we partnered with AmaSing to create our specially commissioned song ‘The People of the Future’ which we sang in the concert, accompanied by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. 

AmaSing is an award-winning, non-profit Arts Organisation and Charity Foundation dedicated to inspiring and empowering children and young people through joyful, inclusive creative arts experiences.
