We place great emphasis on our commitment to Higher Education Institutions, enhancing the training, education and development of the next generation of musicians, creative and cultural sector leaders and supporting graduate retention in the region. We offer a range of internships and placements across the organisation and are proud to be part of Liverpool’s world class cultural offer that helps attract students from across the world.
We have long term partnerships with Liverpool John Moores University, University of Liverpool and the Royal Northern College of Music enabling young people to gain practical experience learning from our world class musicians and experienced staff.
Our Principal Partnership with Liverpool John Moores University focusses on our shared belief in making learning and culture more accessible for people of all ages across the region. LJMU supports our community and education work, and as part of the partnership their students can access complimentary tickets to concerts by the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.
University of Liverpool: Our partnership with the University of Liverpool includes participation in the University’s annual Open Circuit New Music festival with Ensemble 10:10, composition projects, instrument demonstrations, workshops, lunchtime chamber concerts and ensemble coaching. We host the University Graduations at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall, offer student placements at In Harmony Liverpool and the University is a public health research partner for In Harmony Liverpool.
