Since the 1940s, our schools concerts have been inspiring and enthusing children, young people and teachers. Working with Liverpool Philharmonic can be a fantastic way of supporting the delivery of the music curriculum, cross-curricular projects, creative learning and school improvement.

We deliver 15 concerts each year, attended by 20,000 children from 300 schools from Liverpool, across the region and beyond, as far afield as Wales and Yorkshire. We always have strong attendance from SEN schools as they know that our staff go the extra mile to ensure that their pupils are well supported.

Quality music can provide the spark that ignites imagination, develops creativity, raises ambitions and aspirations, and contributes to improved musical and educational achievement.

Our range of opportunities for schools includes live symphony orchestra concerts with associated curriculum schemes of work and INSET training for children at Key Stages 1, 2 and 3; musician ensembles and composers in residence to support musical knowledge, appreciation and skills development, performance coaching, composition and arranging; and bespoke projects tailored to the needs of your children, young people and school curriculum.

"I brought a group of pupils with complex special needs to the fantastic Key Stage 1 concert-Theodore and the Musical Note. The impact it had on the group was amazing and our children responded it really was the highlight of the year. As you can imagine it can be quite difficult to find suitable events to take the children to, but the staff at the Philharmonic all went out of their way to ensure that we were made welcome and that we had all that we needed."
