UnHeard: [Un]Locked

The UnHeard Ensemble is a wind septet accompanied by an electric guitar, double bass and electronics, and directed by the versatile and multi-talented Omer Shteinhart. The musicians will be the fantastic Festivo Winds, plus contemporary clarinettists/saxophonists Johanna Leung and Poppy Philligreen, double bassist Thomas Betts, and electric guitarist Billy Lancaster. Visionary young artist Chrysanthi Tsichti will contribute her beautifully monstrous portraiture to create bespoke visuals for the concert.

This showcase is built and inspired by musical works premiered online via Unheard's black mirrors during the 2020/21 lockdowns, but which have not yet reached the stage. Many of these pieces began as music videos. How much music is lying dormant like this, waiting to be unlocked in public performance?

Witness each unique work brought to life, releasing the full energy and inspiration of the composers, including including Athanasia Kontou, Bofan Ma, Simon Knighton, Robert Laidlow, Nate Chivers, and Tywi JH Roberts, plus guests Manoli Moriaty, Matt Brown and Cally Statham (aka PLUS44KALIGULA).

9% administrative fee applies for online & telephone orders.
