Sunday 10 November 2019 7:30pm Liverpool Philharmonic Hall
Due to Mr Locorriere's ongoing medical situation, this concert has been cancelled. Dr Hook's management provided the following message to fans:
Unfortunately, due to Mr Locorriere's on-going medical situation, the regrettable decision has been taken to cancel Dr Hook's shows worldwide for the rest of 2019 and at least the first six months of 2020.
All members of Dr Hook, their crew, management and promoters are very disappointed to have made this decision during the period of the 50th Anniversary World Tours, but, in any situation such as this, the health of an individual must be the first consideration and priority.
To all the fans around the globe that have already purchased their tickets to 50th shows, we can only send our sincere apologies and hope that, in the not too distant future, Dr Hook will be back on stage and pick-up where they left off, celebrating 50 years of incredible music.
We apologise for any inconvenience or disappointment caused. We are currently contacting ticket holders.
In 2016, Dr Hook - fronted by the talented, charismatic Dennis Locorriere - took to the road once again in a sell-out world tour. Now, to celebrate five decades of timeless music, the band returns to Liverpool Philharmonic Hall as part of their 50th Anniversary Tour.
With songs from Dr Hook’s rich musical history - from the biggest hits to album favourites – including those we all love: 'Sylvia's Mother', 'Sexy Eyes', 'A Little Bit More', 'When You're in Love with A Beautiful Woman', 'Sharing the Night Together', 'The Cover of Rolling Stone', 'The Ballad of Lucy Jordan', and so many more.
This spectacular show is presented in an evening of not only great music, but one that also brings to audiences all the fun and humour that was synonymous with the name Dr Hook.
"The Dr Hook 50th Anniversary Tour is not only a celebration of the band’s long musical history but it’s also presented as a heartfelt ‘thank you’ to all the many fans who continue to keep the music alive by passing it on, from generation to generation. The world has changed in so many ways over the past five decades. It’s a comfort and a joy to see people of all ages coming to the shows today, reminding us that some things stay strong within us and can keep us together forever."
