Ben Ottewell is the gravel-voiced frontman of seminal genre-hopping group Gomez, who founded in Southport in 1995. In 1998, Gomez’s debut album, Bring It On, was released to universal acclaim and saw the band win the coveted Mercury Music Prize in the same year.
25 years later, Ben will be returning to Merseyside, where it all started, playing a special acoustic version of the album in its entirety in the Music Room. Expect to hear stripped-back versions of classic singles such as ‘Whippin’ Piccadilly’ and ‘Get Myself Arrested’. As well as Bring It On, Ben will also be performing a further set of Gomez tracks, along with material from his three solo albums.
