The Sound of Success (S.O.S.) Band exploded on the scene in 1980 with their first mega hit platinum single ‘Take Your Time’. The singles ‘Just Be Good To Me’, ‘Tell Me If You Still Care’, ‘Just The Way You Like It’ and their 1986 beat heavy smash ‘Finest’ all followed.

They were one of the most successful funk/soul bands of the 80s, and shared the stage with act like James Brown, The Gap Band, The Time, The Isley Brothers, Frankie Beverly and Maze, The Bark-Kays and Peabo Bryson.

Original lead vocalist Mary Davis, and trumpeter/vocalist Abdul Ra’oof now lead the band and their monster rhythmic hits stand up well nearly three decades after hitting the airwaves.
