Born on the backstreets of Buenos Aires, tango is more than just a dance fuelled by passion. It’s a cry for justice, the song of a wounded heart, and in the hands of Astor Piazzolla, it conquered the world: sexy, stylish, moving with ease between the worlds of popular and classical music. Tonight, we salute the king of ‘nuevo tango’ in what would have been his 100th birthday year with a world premiere orchestration of his Suite, Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Please note the capacity is very limited (c. 330 seats total) and seating will be done on a socially distanced (2 metre) basis. To book single tickets please call the Box Office on 0151 709 3789.
