FAMILY CONCERTS

From Hamelin to Hogwarts

Alasdair Malloy: presenter

Kevin Field: conductor

Once upon a time… everybody loves a story, and today our friend Alasdair proves that you don’t even need words to tell one! Don’t believe us? Come and hear for yourself – and bring the whole family – as, with a bit of help from the 80 amazing musicians of the Orchestra, we’ll hear tales of Hamelin and Harry Potter, The Lord of the Rings, Jungle Book, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and the King’s New Clothes, all without using a single word! (Well, there might be a few words). So if you’re sitting comfortably…

Liverpool Philharmonic Family Concerts are a great way for children and adults to come together to experience a full symphony orchestra performing music live. Concerts last about one hour. Fidgeting is allowed, and the whole family is welcome, so come along and give it a try!

Children are invited to have a go on a variety of instruments from 30 minutes prior to each concert at our Instrument Petting Zoo.
