Crosby Symphony Orchestra and Wirral Symphony Orchestra join forces for the first time for what will surely be a memorable concert. Richard Strauss’ famous Alpine Symphony requires huge orchestral forces, but upwards of 130 instrumental performers on stage will undoubtedly raise the roof like never before!
In the first half, each orchestra has the chance to showcase some of Tchaikovsky’s most beloved music. Wirral Symphony Orchestra begins with the magical Romeo & Juliet Fantasy Overture, whilst Crosby Symphony Orchestra welcomes Thelma Handy, joint leader of the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, to perform the ever-popular TchaikovskyViolin Concerto.
