A Couple of Swells

Liza Pulman and Joe Stilgoe

Fascinating Aida’s Liza Pulman teams up with acclaimed musician and singer, Joe Stilgoe, in a vibrant and entertaining potpourri of classic songs and wit, highlighting Joe’s virtuoso piano playing and Liza’s exquisite vocals. Liza and Joe’s popular collaborations during lockdown led to many requests to play live, and so this show came about – a magical musical pairing performing some of the best music ever recorded.

Over the past three decades, audiences have enjoyed Liza’s music, theatre and comedy everywhere from the West End to Glyndebourne Opera. Liza’s solo work has showcased a talent for rediscovering and reimagining timeless classics and lost gems.

Joe Stilgoe is known for writing songs that feel like classics, and adapting classics so they sound like they’ve just been written. Regularly appearing on BBC Radio 4, having worked with some of the world’s finest orchestras and bands, and topping the UK jazz album chart five times, his work extends across theatre, TV and radio.
