Liverpool Philharmonic Open Day – Free Event

Liverpool Philharmonic throws open its doors for a day filled with music, where everyone’s welcome to drop in and enjoy a series of musical ‘taster sessions’. Never been to the Hall before? Well, this is the perfect opportunity to discover everything we’ve got on offer…

The full Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra – together with Chief Conductor Domingo Hindoyan – will take to the stage for three mini-concerts. You’ll hear works ranging from Bizet’s Carmen to John Williams’ epic Harry Potter film score, and BBC Radio Merseyside's Jade Burns will guide you through it all, discovering the music with Domingo.

Over in our front of house spaces and up in our 1840 Room, you’ll be able to meet our team and discover more about Liverpool Philharmonic, while Box Office will be running exclusive, one-day-only offers. Our bars will be serving delicious refreshments, and you’ll be able to catch Liverpool Philharmonic Youth Company ensembles performing a series of pop-up concerts.

Want to hear more? In the Music Room, our friends are hosting a series of takeovers. First up, Milap present a traditional Indian classical concert, before Liverpool Acoustic bring you three sets from some incredible local acts. LUMA Creations will showcase their special blend of contemporary Latin American roots music and dance, then Africa Oyé bring the celebrations to a close with performances from three fantastic artists from Liverpool and beyond!

Please note there is no advance booking available for this event and seating is unreserved.
