Having mastered clever, chartfriendly dance-pop, Hot Chip front man Alexis Taylor has explored jazz, funk and semi-improvisational music but his latest solo album is pared-back, personal and composed entirely of piano and voice.
Aptly named, Piano is just Taylor performing reinterpretations of his own writing and favourites both well-known and unheard before by other artists. Exploring religion, spirituality, and mortality, this music promises a more intimate and personal Taylor.
