Our Access Scheme
Our Access Scheme
Joining our access scheme is the best way to make sure every visit to the Phil is safe, fun, and complete plain sailing. It means that we’ll know exactly what you need and we’ll always be ready to provide you with the appropriate support.
That could simply be help getting to your seat, the use of the hearing induction loop, access to wheelchair spaces and transfer seating, or benefits including complimentary tickets for carers.
Then, once you're all registered, you'll be able to make the most of all the Access Scheme benefits and book into accessibility seating.
If you'd rather fill out a paper form, that's completely fine. Just pop into Box Office or contact us on 0151 709 3789 and we can post the application form out to you.
Any questions?

Access Seating
What seats are available to me?
Within the Hall, all our events have seats for wheelchair users, those with limited mobility and other disabled people.
Wheelchair spaces with seats for companions are available in Boxes 7, 8, 15 and 16, as well as Row A in the front of the Stalls. There are also two wheelchair spaces in the Grand Circle. Just let us know your access requirements when you book and we'll recommend the most suitable seats for you.
In the Music Room, spaces for wheelchair users and companions are available for all performances. Accessibility seating may be limited for standing performances – if a concert is standing we'll note that on the event page.
We'd always recommend booking as far in advance as possible to help ensure the seats you need are available.
If you require a wheelchair or accessible seat for any of our concerts and haven't booked one, please contact Box Office on 0151 709 3789 as soon as you can – we only have a limited number available.
How much do accessibility seats cost?
Accessibility seats are full price. Wheelchair users and other customers who require someone to assist them during their visit are entitled to a free ticket for the companion/carer.
How do I book accessibility seats?
First things first – you'll need to be fully registered on our Access Scheme. Then, when you're logged into your account, you'll be able to purchase access seats for events in the Hall online.
Once logged in, simply navigate to the event you're booking for and select the seats which suit your needs. Wheelchair seats are marked with a wheelchair symbol on the seating plan.
If you need a companion ticket, just change one of the ticket types to Companion Seat on the next page. This will be listed as complimentary on the order confirmation screen.
Tickets can also be booked via our Box Office in person or over the phone. Box Office has a low level counter to improve accessibility for wheelchair users.
Tickets can be booked by telephone via the Text Relay service during standard Box Office hours.
For events in the Music Room... Due to the flexible layout of seating in this venue, you'll need to call Box Office to speak to a member of staff about your requirements.
Access Facilities
I'll need assistance to attend an event – what can you provide?
You can find out about all our accessibility facilities for both the Hall and Music Room by clicking here.
If there’s anything you’d like our help with when you arrive, please chat to any member of staff and let us know what you need. To avoid any extra stress on the day, we just wanted to let you know that for health and safety reasons, our staff are unable to look after visitors with personal caring needs.
Can I bring an assistance dog?
Of course – assistance dogs are welcome throughout the building and water is available for them. Please let Box Office know you'll be bringing an assistance dog with you when you book – they'll be able to advise on the most suitable seats (we'd recommend always choosing an aisle seat).
I'm a Blue Badge holder – where can I park?
You'll find information about all parking options here.
What is a Changing Places toilet?
Changing Places toilets are different to standard accessible toilets as they have extra features and more space to meet the needs of people who use them. You can find out more about Changing Places toilets here.
