What to expect – arriving at the Music Room
- The Music Room entrance is on Sugnall Street, directly at the back of Liverpool Philharmonic Hall. The venue has an automatic entry door with a press button at wheelchair height and is on one level throughout.
- As you enter, you’ll have your tickets checked by one of our stewards, who might also ask to check your bag.
- You’ll enter into the bar area where you can grab a drink – sometimes there’ll also be seats in this area too.
- Toilets are located through the door to the left of the bar. There’s more information about accessible toilets below.
- If you’re unsure about where your seats are, just ask one of our stewards – they’ll be happy to help.
If there’s anything you’d like our help with when you arrive, please chat to any member of staff and let us know what you need. To avoid any extra stress on the day, we just wanted to let you know that for health and safety reasons, our staff are unable to look after visitors with personal caring needs.
Access Facilities
Accessible toilets
All Music Room toilets are individual cubicles with their own sink – you’ll find two accessible toilets there as well. We also have a Changing Places toilet located on the ground floor – chat to a steward and they’ll let you know how to get there.
Wheelchair spaces
There are dedicated spaces for wheelchair users and their companions at all Music Room concerts. Just a heads up, accessibility seating may be limited for Music Room standing events.

Wheelchairs
Need to borrow a wheelchair? No problem, we can sort you out. It’s best to ask a member of staff about using one as soon as you arrive though as we only have a limited number.
Hearing Induction Loop
Our Hearing Induction Loop system is available in the Music Room. To use it from your seats, you’ll need infrared equipment – just chat to a steward about picking that up. You can choose between equipment that works with a hearing aid or one that works independently.
Quiet spaces
If you need a break from the event at any point, you can head to one of our quiet spaces. Just let a steward know and they’ll take you there.
Assistance dogs
Of course, assistance dogs are welcome throughout the Phil and we’ll make sure water is available to them. If you’re bringing an assistance dog, let Box Office know when you’re booking your tickets – they’ll be able to recommend the best seats for you (usually an aisle seat).
