NuYoga

Start your Sunday well with the interweaving of music, movement, breath and vibration.

Practice heartfelt, embodiment focused yoga led by Nu Caratella of Heartstrong Yoga, in harmony with original, improvised music by our skilled and talented musician Andrew Barney to reconnect to yourself and leave you feeling uplifted and joyful."

"Music and Yoga at the Phil exceeded my expectations! This special combination of live grand piano and Yoga brought me a level of relaxation and calmness that was exactly what I needed. As an affinity space for our creative Black and Global Majority community, I connected and networked as well. A special treat and I highly recommended"

"First yoga session, that was held at the Music Room in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic was very special for multiple reasons. Beforehand, it was apparent from stepping into the door that I was very much welcome in the space, which was a very important thing for me as I have never tried yoga before. The atmosphere was warm and friendly. The session itself was really relaxing. It was a stressful time of the year for me as I was preparing for auditions at the time. Taking part in the yoga session relaxed my mind and released a lot of the tension that I was holding in my body. The highlight was the masterful display of piano improvisation that was performed throughout the session. I noticed as Andrew was improvising, he was able to feel the energy in the room, of the people taking part and the yoga instructor. Hearing what she was saying about the mind and the body in the moment and matching that through music, which was really impressive to me. It was a great experience overall and I'm looking forward to the next one."

Please bring your own mat if possible and contact the organisers if you need one to be provided, or if you have any other questions. Please arrive no earlier than ten minutes before the start of the session.
