An element of Good Morning Good Morning, one of 13 special events commissioned by Culture Liverpool to celebrate Sgt Pepper at 50, supported by Arts Council England and the National Lottery.

Are you a morning person? If not, make an exception just this once and start the new day with some tasty culture, inspired by John Lennon's song.

Marcus Farnsworth sings songs by Franz Schubert, Hugo Wolf and others, accompanied by Roger Vignoles.

Marcus Farnsworth is a graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, winning the Wigmore Hall and Kathleen Ferrier song prizes. He has performed in many operas, notably as Demetrius in Britten's A Midsummer Night's Dream, Kelvin in Fujikura's Solaris, and Aeneas in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas, concert repertoire with the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Symphony Orchestra, the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra, the London Symphony Orchestra, and the Gabrieli Consort, among others, and recitals at Wigmore Hall, the Concertgebouw, Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie, Brussels, Opéra de Lille, and the Australian Chamber Music Festival.
