Saturday 22 February 2020 8pm Music Room
For this very special show Liverpool Acoustic brings to the Music Room four of the very best vocal duos performing in Merseyside today. Each stunning duo will have their own set, and with the possibility of surprise collaborations, this is an evening not to be missed.
White Little Lies
White Little Lies (Vanessa Murray and Daniel Saleh) are a country, folk and Americana duo, who combine the harmonies of country and folk infused guitar parts with various elements of the Americana and pop genres. Taking influence from bands such as; The Civil Wars, Little Big Town, The Wandering Hearts and The Eagles, their aim is to put their own stamp on the UK music scene.
Rob Jones and Rob White
Liverpool-based acoustic duo Rob Jones and Rob White have been harmonising since their schooldays. Rob Jones' songs attempt to deal with the ups and downs of life, public transport, heartbreak, The Monkees and the Mersey rain - sometimes all in the same song!
‘The harmonies, of which Simon and Garfunkel would be proud, are beautiful but with a generous sprinkle of Merseyside realism; the effect of the combination is just something to behold.’
Ian D. Hall, Liverpool Sound & VisionVisions of Albion
Visions of Albion are a Liverpool-based duo formed in 2017. Currently recording their first EP, Visions of Albion have gone from strength to strength earning spots at acclaimed events including Light Night 2019, Liverpool Acoustic’s ‘Songwriting Challenge’ and supporting ex-Inspiral Carpets’ frontman Tom Hingley.
The Folk Doctors
Merseyside/Irish folk duo The Folk Doctors (John Armstrong and Ultan Mulhern) is a collaboration between a musical doctor and someone who is neither a doctor nor especially musical, but who is willing to chance his arm at writing verse. Their debut album Silent Shores was launched in 2019 to overwhelmingly positive reviews.
