Amelia Coburn

General sale: Thursday 21 May 10am

Amelia Coburn has a knack for making the unusual sound timeless. Herhonest, occasionally hilarious and quintessentially north-eastern persona disarms and beguiles in equal measure.

Drawing inspiration from gothic literature and the shadowy allure of film noir, there is adarkness at the heart of many of her songs, populated by vivid characters and nocturnalcreatures that inhabit the liminal space “between the moon and the milkman”

Her Bill Ryder-Jones produceddebut albumgained a cult following, withnational radio play across BBC Radios 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6, as well as tastemaker support from Mojo, The Line of Best Fit, Shindig! Magazine, The Arts Desk, Clash, Americana UK, KLOF Mag, Far Out and manymore.

A break through 2025 saw her hailed as “one to watch” by Louder Than War and Drowned In Sound, as well as spellbinding sets at SXSW in Texas and a feature on Paul Weller’s latest album ‘Find El Dorado'.

"A great voice with great tunes" - Paul Weller in Mojo Magazine

"In a cynical, meta-obsessed world, her music is wide-eyed, guileless and fresh" - The Arts Desk (Album of the Year)

“A world full of darkness and light and soundtracked by magic and melancholy” - Louder Than War
