Post-concert Question Time - starts 15 minutes after the concert ends (Music Room) with Domingo HindoyanFrench composers certainly know how to paint a picture. Paul Dukas sounds a fanfare – and draws back the curtain on a fairytale world of forbidden passions, told in music of silk and velvet. Ravel imagines the dawn breaking over a paradise landscape, and evokes a phantom ballroom: a whole civilisation waltzing deliriously on the brink. But the fabulous Vilde Frang makes it sound easy!
