Bach’s St John Passion is one of the greatest of all sacred works. It’s a profound spiritual drama; a searching musical exploration of eternal hopes and sorrows. Jeannette Sorrell founded the dynamic American baroque ensemble Apollo’s Fire, and she understands the power of this masterpiece from the inside.

With the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir and soloists including our Artist in Residence, Roderick Williams, this unique, semi-dramatised performance of Bach’s most theatrical passion story should speak straight to the heart – and soul.
