You won’t be able to reserve tickets – they must be purchased online with a credit or debit card. We can also accept payment by invoice, with the full amount paid within 30 days of booking. We’re afraid we’ll have to cancel the booking if we don’t receive payment by then. 

Yes, of course! You can book for multiple concerts in the same series or across different series. If you’re booking 300+ tickets (e.g. from a Multi Academy Trust) email us at schoolsconcerts@liverpoolphil.com to find out about our group booking rate. 

We’re sorry, but once dates are sold out, we can’t accept any further bookings. If you can only make a sold-out date but would still like to attend, drop us an email at schoolsconcerts@liverpoolphil.com and we’ll add you to the waiting list. If we get any cancellations for your preferred date, you’ll be the first to know! 

Of course! If you’re with a Key Stage 2 or 3 group, you’re entitled to one free adult ticket for every 10 child tickets or part thereof. So if you have 33 child tickets, you’ll have 4 free adult tickets.  

For Key Stage 1 groups, it’s one free adult ticket for every 6 child tickets. So a group of 33 children would receive 6 free adult tickets.  

If some or all of your pupils require 1:1 care and you need to bring additional people to support them, that’s fine. Just include these in the free adult tickets section of the booking form – we won’t charge you extra. 

Yes. There are 16 wheelchair user spaces in the Hall. The boxes and front stalls wheelchair areas are best for children who have additional needs, or who may need to leave during the concert. From experience, we’d suggest that you consider requesting box seats for children with ASD or similar conditions – that’ll make it easier for them to pop in and out of the auditorium if they need to. Email schoolsconcerts@liverpoolphil.com if you’d like to chat about how we can best accommodate your pupils. 

We’ll send details about the scheme of work to the email address submitted on the booking form. The Key Stage 2/3 scheme will be emailed out in the Autumn Term and the Key Stage 1 scheme will be sent out around the Easter holidays.  

You won’t receive any physical tickets. Around four weeks before the concert, we’ll send you a final details pack, containing booking confirmation, coach parking details, and any other information you might need. In total, you’ll receive three separate confirmations from us: one when your booking is processed, one with your scheme of work, and a final group ticket. If you haven't received anything, please get in touch!  

It’s best if you aim to arrive around 15-30 minutes before the concert starts. Please check the arrival time given in your confirmation letter to ensure your group is seated in time. Once you arrive, our staff will meet you at your coach and take you to your seats (we’re sorry but we can’t guarantee any non-essential seating requests). 

Key Stage 1 concerts last around an hour, and Key Stage 2/3 concerts last approx. 75 minutes. We’d allow another 15 minutes to get back to your coach. 

Due to how busy Schools’ Concerts are and the tight turnaround between performances, we’re sorry but we can’t provide a space for schools to eat lunch.  

If you’re looking to spend the rest of the day in Liverpool too, we’d recommend visiting the Anglican and Metropolitan cathedrals, Walker Art Gallery and Tate Liverpool – all just a short walk/coach trip away from the Phil. National Museums Liverpool often run accessible in-person workshops that can be linked to our concerts and the school curricula. Click here [link to NML currently on FAQs page] for more info.  

Since there’s no dedicated coach parking around the Phil, Liverpool City Council suspends some parking bays for us in the area. At the end of the concert, we’ll locate your school’s coach and safely direct you to it.  

In the rare event we cancel a concert, we’ll offer you the choice of either a full refund or a credit note towards a future Schools’ Concert.

We reserve the right to change the programme/artists without notice. 

In the event that we have to cancel a performance, we will offer you the choice of a full refund or credit note towards future Schools' Concerts.  

If a group wishes to reduce the number of tickets booked, or cancel their booking entirely, we aim to offer a credit note which can be used for future Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra Schools’ Concerts. We may be able to offer a refund if we can resell the tickets. All adjustments will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, and any changes to the booking may incur cancellation charges up to 100% of the full ticket price. 

We require a minimum of 48 hours before a booked concert date to process any order adjustments. After this time, Liverpool Philharmonic reserves the right to charge 100% of the booking for any reductions or cancellations. 

Tickets can be purchased online with a credit or debit card, or via invoice. Full payment is required within 30 days of booking. We reserve the right to cancel any booking if the invoice is not paid by the due date. 

We will endeavour to meet any preferences for particular seating areas but cannot guarantee this. Late bookings will generally be placed at the back of the Circle.
