Schools' concerts

Come and experience Liverpool’s world-class symphony orchestra live in our fun, educational and interactive concerts for Key Stage 1, 2 and 3 pupils.

We believe every child should have the opportunity to experience live music during their time at school and our concerts provide an exciting introduction to live orchestral music. The concerts are linked to the wider curriculum and aim to enrich children's understanding of music in school and beyond.

Discover the power of orchestral music through carefully chosen works designed to capture your pupils’ imagination and to inspire a love of music, with a few surprises thrown in for good measure!

With your booking you will get access to a scheme of work linked to the concerts which provides an introduction to the repertoire, as well as lesson plans and extension activities that are linked to the National Curriculum – performing, composing, listening and appraising - and recordings of the concert repertoire.

We run INSET sessions for Key Stage 1 and 2 teachers. Come and develop your music teaching skills, get an introduction to the scheme of work and get new ideas for musical games and activities.

By attending the concerts children get the opportunity to experience the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra Live in one of the world’s great concert halls: Liverpool Philharmonic Hall.

This is a fantastic way to experience a live art form when working towards the Discover and Explore Arts Awards, and could contribute to an Artsmark award.
