What is your earliest musical memory?
My earliest experiences are all a bit of a mish-mash, but one of the most vivid memories was sitting under the piano whilst my Mum played, enjoying being surrounded by all the sounds and vibrations that the instrument made - pretty much like sitting in the viola section now!
What is your most memorable moment with the Orchestra so far?
The Capital of Culture year left me with a few, being conducted by Sir Simon Rattle was a musical highlight, but being stacked silly feet high up on scaffolding for the opening concert is something I don't think I'll ever forget!
If you weren't a musician, what would you be?
Car designer! Or an international shopper for Selfridges, fine arts restorer... really hard question, if I really was serious about it I'd be doing it - at the moment I'm happy doing what I do!
