Please note that all concerts at Liverpool Philharmonic up to 21 June 2021 have been postponed - see our rescheduled/cancelled events page for more information.
We understand that there is a lot of information to take in around the concerts we’re presenting and that you may have some questions.
We’ve made a few changes to ensure our staff and audience’s safety and well-being, and most importantly to ensure your enjoyment of live music.
Socially distanced concerts
All audience members are required to wear face coverings (unless exempt or under age 11) and all staff members will also be wearing face coverings.
Under current government guidance in Liverpool, you can only attend concerts with other members of your household or social bubble. If this causes an issue with a concert you've booked, please contact our Box Office on 0151 709 3789 and a member of our team can assist you.
Yes. Toilets will be open from one hour before each concert and after each concert.
No. The box office will be closed at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall except for 60 minutes prior to each performance to collect previously purchased tickets or to purchase tickets for that day’s performance. Tickets can be purchased by calling 0151 709 3789 (Monday to Friday 9.30am to 5.30pm) or visiting liverpoolphil.com.
Yes. The Grand Foyer Bar will be open 60 minutes prior to each concert for drinks, snacks or ice creams.
You will be seated at socially–distanced tables and your order will be taken at the table. Capacity will be limited and customers will be seated on a first come first serve basis. The 1840 bar will not be open – we apologise for any inconvenience caused.
Please be aware that alcohol cannot be consumed in the Grand Foyer Bar, but can be ordered from the bar to be enjoyed at your seat within the auditorium.
We strongly advise pre-ordering drinks in advance as we expect our bar to be very busy and we cannot guarantee service on the day.
To order drinks in advance and have them waiting at your seat in the auditorium for your arrival, please call Box Office on 0151 709 3789.
Yes. Ice creams will be available to purchase in the Grand Foyer Bar pre-concert for consumption at a table.
Audience members will be seated in household bubbles of two seats with two meters between the bubbles.
There will be an enhanced cleaning regime in the auditorium including more frequent cleaning of toilets, touch points (including hand rails and doors) and fogging of the interior of the auditorium.
We’ve implemented enhanced cleaning regimes in the Hall (including regular fogging of the building), one way systems where possible, and socially-distanced seating. Hand-sanitizer stations will also be available throughout the building and we’ll open up additional entrances to avoid congestion. All audience members are required to wear face coverings (unless exempt) and all staff members will also be wearing face coverings.
If you are unable to attend a concert due to illness or because you have been instructed to self isolate please let us know at least 24 hours in advance and we’ll exchange your tickets for another performance or credit.
Any changes to future concerts will be communicated in good time. Any changes to the November or December schedule will be communicated with customers directly.

You can use cash but, where possible, please use card payments in our bar and box office.
There will be a maximum of 390 audience members in the venue at any one time.
There will be additional entrances to the building to reduce queuing upon entry and exit. These will be on Hope Street, Mrytle Street, Caledonia Street and Sugnall Street. Your entrance will be indicated on your ticket.
Audience members with access needs or those who need to use the lift should use the accessibility entrance door on Hope Street, regardless of the entrance on their ticket. There will be a steward on hand who can provide hearing loops, directional assistance and answer any questions.
If you start to develop symptoms of coronavirus after visiting the hall, you should self-isolate and get tested as quickly as possible. If you then test positive, NHS Test and Trace will ask you where you have been recently and who you have seen. They will then get in touch with anyone you may have been in close contact with to advise them what do next.
