Andrew Manze, Principal Guest Conductor
Andrew Manze was made our Principal Guest Conductor in 2018, following his regular appearances with our Orchestra over many years. Andrew also teaches and writes about music, is a TV and radio broadcaster, and has held positions with the Norwegian Radio Symphony and the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra too.
He’s known as the ‘greatest living interpreter of Vaughan Williams’ music’ (The Guardian) – and we can definitely vouch for that. His latest Vaughan Williams recording with the Orchestra won the 2024 Gramophone Classical Music Album of the Year Award.
