Music & Health: Young People
We believe that music uplifts, soothes and builds community – and that’s true for all ages.
In collaboration with our NHS partners, Liverpool Philharmonic musicians head out into medical and community spaces across the region to work with young people and their families as they navigate difficult times.
This year, our musicians have used live music-making to support 129 babies and parents through perinatal care.

Two of our specialist musicians also hold a residency at Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, one of our NHS partner organisations. Working with children and families undergoing treatment there, they use music-making and interactive fun to boost mood, wellbeing and connection.
