Nina Ashton, Emily Ross and Anna Hashimoto began playing music together in 2003, making their joint Wigmore Hall debut in 2004 (aged 14) and their BBC proms debut in 2005.
In the years since, they have performed as soloists, chamber musicians and in orchestras around the world, including all three of them with the London Symphony Orchestra and one or two of them with the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Bavarian State Opera, National Symphony Orchestra of India, Royal Opera House (Covent Garden), Royal Scottish National Orchestra, English National Opera, Gürzenich Orchestra Cologne, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, London Mozart Players, Philharmonia, Aurora, London Philharmonic Orchestra, and of course with the beloved Royal Liverpool Philharmonic (where Nina has now been the bassoon section leader for almost 10 months!).
There was a period of several years in their youth where Nina, Emily and Anna barely spent a week apart, studying and living together at the Purcell School and playing in various youth orchestras during their holidays, including three years in the National Youth Orchestra. Despite teenage trials and tribulations, and their busy lives since then pulling them in opposite directions to pursue careers in different countries and cities, they have remained firm friends and are delighted to be reunited and able to perform together for you in Liverpool.
Join them in the Music Room for a musical interlude to your busy day with our series of Lunchtime Concerts. These concerts, all of which feature musicians and ensembles from the Orchestra, last about an hour and are just £8.
Please note that seating in the Music Room is unreserved. Doors open at 12 noon.
